These are images made with a Holga camera between 2002 and 2006. I scanned the negatives on an Epson flatbed scanner and sometimes toned and colored them in photoshop. I was one of the first to modify the Holga for night photography, before it became a “thing”. After 2004 or so you could buy all kinds of modified Holgas. There was a great community of night photographers around the “Nocturnes” led by Tim Baskerville, Lance Keimig and Tom Paiva. Later this community extended to Flickr. I also shot images with a Hasselblad and experimented with digital negatives ( Dan Burkholder) and other alternative photo processes, like cyanotypes. This eventually lead me to painting.
