My friend Marie lead a group of friends on a beautiful 10 mile hike over hills and through woods and meadows of the Ridge Trail in the peninsula near Palo Alto. There were stunning views over the gorgeous California landscape all the way to the ocean. The beautiful light and the incredible vistas of bright orange poppies and other wildflowers is part of what inspires my painting
